Dixon Advocates for Children supports a series of community-based events in order to promote the safety and well-being of children in Dixon.  Current events include a Community Block Party as well as a logo design contest in which over 190 children participated.

April is the National Month of the Child and Child Abuse Awareness Month.  The Dixon Advocates for Children plan to focus on the youth of Dixon at the Community Block Party.  The annual event is scheduled for April 25, the Day of the Child.  Hall Park is the setting of the Party and the hours are 11AM to 4PM.
